About Us
DRS was established in 1946 by Dilson, Rosenberg and Shulman as a distributor of watch materials and supplies to the jewelry trade in downtown NYC. A number of moves brought them to the midtown Manhattan area known as the diamond district.
Today, DRS is a nationally recognized supplier to the jewelry trade supplying Masonic jewelry, licensed Military jewelry, medical jewelry, name plates, findings, tools, watch straps, batteries, watch materials (of course!), and much more.
DRS, through our RJC (Responsible Jewelry Council) membership, is committed to Supply Chain due diligence in our sourcing of all products, including gold, silver, and diamonds. We are committed to supporting Human Rights and our corporate responsibility to our customers, suppliers, neighbors, and community is of utmost importance.
Additionally, DRS is a supporter of the VWI (Veteran's Watchmaker Initiative) for disabled veterans. Joseph Borella, President of DRS, is a board member and contributor to the success of this school. The VWI teaches watch making skills to disabled vets. We are very proud to support this worthwhile initiative.
The ownership of DRS is committed to providing quality products, excellent service, and competitive pricing. An owner is always present and unlike companies who's executives lock themselves in an office and do not interact with their customers, we answer phones, fill orders, and are available if an issue arises. It is not uncommon for us to pick up calls regularly and we are proud of our work ethic because it filters down to everyone you speak to at DRS. Our staff is hands on. They are not order takers. They understand the products we sell, work with them regularly, and are able to answers all of your product questions.
Our new and improved website is a work in progress, but I think you will agree it is a step in the right direction. We will be adding products regularly for the foreseeable future and running weekly specials, promoting new merchandise, etc.
The site is priced retail (approximately triple your cost) so you can use it as a selling tool. If you have any comments or suggestions to make it better, please send us an email. We appreciate your feedback, we appreciate your business, and mostly, we hope to hear from you soon.
